Founder Robert Finvarb has been a real estate developer and investor since 2002 and has been a pioneer in developing mixed-use urban select service hotels in high barrier to entry markets throughout the United States. Over the past eleven years, he has led the development efforts for the 174-room Marriott Courtyard Hotel in Dania Beach, Florida, the 123-room Residence Inn by Marriott hotel in Chantilly (Dulles Airport South), Virginia, the 135-room Residence Inn by Marriott hotel in Tallahassee, Florida, the 133-room Residence Inn by Marriott hotel in Melbourne, Florida, the 208-room Residence Inn by Marriott - Desert View at Mayo Clinic and the 218-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Washington, DC.
In addition to these projects, RFC acquired the former Doubletree Hotel in Coconut Grove, FL and in the ensuing 12 months completely renovated and rebranded the hotel into a Courtyard by Marriott hotel. Shortly following the acquisition of the Doubletree in Coconut Grove, RFC opened the 198-room Springhill Suites by Marriott - Miami Airport East/Medical Center and has most recently acquired the 161-room SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Lincolnshire, Illinois. In addition to its involvement with hotel development and asset management for its portfolio of hotels containing close to 2000 rooms, the Company is also currently involved with the development of a hotel in New York City that will contain over 300 rooms together with two mixed use retail/hotel projects in the heart of South Beach that are expected to collectively contain 250 guestrooms with 9,000 feet of retail space. RFC is also further involved with the development of approximately 20 acres of land in the gaming corridor of Las Vegas, Nevada.
is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1993. Following his graduation from law school, he became associated with the law firm of Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson, P.A. in Miami. In 1998, Robert became General Counsel of Williams Island Associates, a leading developer of luxury condominiums and hotels in South Florida. In 2000, Robert served as Vice President and General Counsel of Terremark Worldwide, Inc., a publicly traded real estate and telecommunications company.
is the Chief Financial Officer for the Robert Finvarb Companies and joined the Company in February 2006. Daniela graduated from Auburn University with a Masters in Accounting in 1992 and has been a Florida CPA since 1995. Daniela has spent over 17 years combined in both public and private accounting, providing her extensive working experience in a broad cross-section of industries. Following graduation from Auburn, Daniela became associated with the auditing and consulting firm of Grant Thornton, LLP, the 6th largest accounting firm in the world. There she served as an Assurance Services Manager for 5 years. In 1998, Daniela became the Director of Special Projects and ultimately the Director of Finance for Blue Dot Services, Inc., a consolidator of air-conditioning and plumbing companies through-out the United States. During her time at Blue Dot, Daniela oversaw the acquisition and integration of over 80 companies into the Blue Dot roll-up. Most recently, Daniela was Chief Financial Officer for Presidential Aviation, a leading private air charter company based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
joined Robert Finvarb Companies in September 2011 as a Financial Analyst. Christopher graduated from Barry University with an M.B.A. specializing in finance. During his time at Barry, he served as the President of the Financial Management Honor Society where he organized tutoring sessions as well as leadership forums for his fellow students. Before joining Robert Finvarb Companies, Christopher worked as a Junior Lending Assistant for Ocean Bank, spending most of his time working with Real Estate loans and investments.
assumed the position of Director of Development & Construction for Robert Finvarb Companies in 2013. Jake graduated from the OHL School of Construction at Florida International University with a Bachelor’s in Construction Management, and has taken advanced graduate coursework in Construction Management at FIU. During his tenure as a student, he held several leadership positions, including the Presidency of the Construction Management Honor Society. Encompassed in his experience portfolio, Jake has been responsible for, and has overseen the construction of numerous projects. Jake worked with Vertical Construction, a General Contractor based in Irvine, California as well as the Owner of Expo Ships on the Sea Fair, the world's first mobile Mega Yacht Art Venue and one of the ten largest privately owned yachts in the United States. Jake also managed the Operations at BIW Iron, a privately owned construction company specializing in metal work. While working at BIW Jake was able to assemble a joint venture, obtain his General Contracting License and established Tower Construction Management. Most recently, Jake worked with Coastal Construction Group, a South Florida tri-county general contracting company ranked amongst the top 100 construction management companies in the United States.
