DESCRIPTION:
This 218-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel opened in April 2009. The hotel is located in the dynamic submarket of Downtown D.C that is known as NoMA (North of Massachusetts Avenue) adjacent to the New York Avenue Metro Station. The New York Avenue Metro station is located one stop north of Union Station, the transportation hub for Washington, DC. This hotel is surrounded by the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) headquarters and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) headquarters. The hotel has 2800 square feet of meeting space as well as 10,000 square feet of ground floor retail space, a portion of which is already occupied by the full service Au Bon Pain restaurant. The hotel features the new Business lobby design with Go Board, 24 hour Business and print center, exercise facility and indoor pool. This hotel is the first Marriott hotel in DC to have a green roof.
