Coconut Grove, FL – September 4, 2009 – Miami-based Robert Finvarb Companies acquired the 196-room Doubletree Hotel in Coconut Grove, FL. The Company purchased the property and is operating it as the Hotel in the Grove and plans to convert it to a Courtyard by Marriott within the first six months. The hotel will be open during renovations, which are currently planned for the Lobby, Pool, Meeting Space and Guestrooms and will take place over the next 12-18 months.

Construction of this 208-room Residence Inn by Marriott hotel is expected to commence in October 2007. The hotel is situated on the campus of the Mayo Clinic in the Desert Ridge Submarket of the northeast Phoenix metropolitan area. The 210-acre Mayo campus is intended to be developed with 5,900,000 square feet of inpatient, diagnostic, hospitality, research, education, administration, service and housing facilities servicing Mayo.
